Since the age of five Kieran has been involved with music performance and production. Growing up in a family of musicians, it was only a matter of time before all manner of instruments and equipment found their way into his hands. When Kieran first picked up a guitar it was clear that this was not only his talent, but also his passion as he embraced the study of all things music.

From those formative years, Kieran progressed through school and college, completing his Bachelor of Music at the Australian Institute of Music, a Graduate Diploma of Education (Music) at the Australian Catholic University and a Certificate III in Live Production and Technical Services at the National Institute of Dramatic Arts. Alongside his study, Kieran put in countless hours on the road both nationally and internationally gaining valuable experience of all aspects of the music industry. He could be found in orchestra pits, theatres, pubs and studios working with leading acts such as Plini (Australia), Intervals (Canada), Animals As Leaders (USA), Exodus (USA) and David Maxim Micic (Serbia). Through these experiences and the practical expertise they developed, Kieran has become one of the most versatile entertainment specialists in the Sydney music scene. He is also a trusted engineer across the disciplines of lighting, sound and as a guitar technician.

Kieran is no stranger to Sydney’s biggest shows and venues featuring in performances of “Annie” and “Tommy” with the Mosman Musical Society, “Rent” with the Blacktown Musical Society and as a regular session musician for the Sutherland Shire Schools Music Festival and The King’s School. He has played in venues such as the Enmore Theatre, Sydney Entertainment Centre and All Phones Arena. Despite the scale of some of these shows, it is perhaps Kieran’s solo and band performances at clubs, pubs and functions throughout Sydney that truly display his natural talent and easygoing showmanship.

While performing at weddings and parties is often seen by other musicians as “just another gig”, Kieran recognises how special every event is to those who hire him. It is this attitude that sets him apart. Pouring his energy into every show, the audience can’t help but be engaged by Kieran’s powerful stage presence and effortless guitar work that bring an atmosphere of fun, passion and crowd participation to any room.

You might think you never want to hear “Mustang Sally” again, but when the crowds are warmed up and make their requests known, Kieran always manages to bring spirit and vitality to even the most tired of “pub classics” ensuring that every show is so much more than just another night at the local.
